1. What is Out and Heard?
Out and Heard is a safe, supportive space where LGBTQIA+ individuals can book 45-minute sessions with a peer listener. We’re here to listen, not to judge.
2. Is this therapy or counseling?
No. Out and Heard does not provide therapy, counseling, or medical advice. We are not licensed professionals. Our role is simply to provide a listening ear and compassionate support.
3. Who is this service for?
Out and Heard is open to anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community (and allies) who want to talk, vent, or share without judgment.
4. How much does it cost?
Each session is $25 for 45 minutes, either by phone or virtually (Zoom/Google Meet).
5. How do I book a session?
You can book directly through our website. Choose a time that works for you, select phone or virtual, and complete your payment to confirm.
6. Are sessions confidential?
Yes. What you share in your session stays private. We do not record, share, or sell your personal information. The only exception is if you disclose something that indicates immediate danger to yourself or others.
7. What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a refund or reschedule. No-shows or late cancellations cannot be refunded.
8. What if I’m in crisis?
Out and Heard is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 (US) or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

9. Can I book a session for someone else?
Yes! You can gift a session by booking in their name and providing their contact details.
